Daniel Abrams, President
History: Licensed Broker since 1979. I strive on a daily basis to provide old fashioned customer service with new technology. I started in this industry going door to door and driving hundreds of miles every day, and now can do the same thing at the push of a button. It is amazing how far technology has come, and allows us to interact with clients across the country with ease. Even so, I love being able to maintain the warm, family environment within this office, and pass that on to our clientele.
Education & Experience: Oakton Community College Skokie Illinois, 1972. Bachelor Degree from Shaw University in Miami Florida in 1976. Graduate studies in Psychology from Lone Mountain University in Miami Florida.
Goals: To help our clients nationwide obtain comprehensive and affordable health insurance, and ensure that no one is without the medical coverage they need!
Hobbies: Road Biking, Yoga, Transcendental Meditation, and spending time with my wife and two sons. I hold a black belt in Kenpo Karate. I thoroughly enjoy being involved in multiple charities, such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Military Support Committee. Former president and active member of Networking Group LeTip of Mission Viejo.
Sandra Karpel, Broker
History: I began working administratively with Abrams California Health Insurance in 2001, and obtained my broker license in 2002. Since then, I have been helping individuals, families, and small businesses find the best possible coverage for themselves. I continually further my knowledge on new plans and carriers to ensure that I have the most updated information for new and current clients.
Education & Experience: Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York, Certified in Massage Therapy in Hawaii, and studied Holistic & Naturopathic medicine in California.
Goals: To help clients navigate the world of health insurance, and get the most out of their coverage. To help them avoid chronic conditions by means of utilizing preventive care and healthy checks offered by their health insurance plans.
Hobbies: Spending time at the beach, going wine tasting, and of course - traveling! Though I have now called California home for over 10 years, I still love being able to work with clients nationwide.
Carol Roane, Broker
History: I came to work with Dan in 1998 and assisted him with all aspects of the office, to include processing applications and maintaining the office. I obtained my broker license in 2000 and have been happily working with clients since then as their "secret agent". I take utmost pride in my work, and treat every person who calls in as a family member.
Education & Experience: Attended Northern Illinois University. Owned hospitals and pharmacies for 17 years, and educated doctors on how to file insurance claims.
Goals: My goal is to help in such a way that you have no doubt I only have your best interest in mind. I will come to understand your situation and preferences and educate you on options and help you compare "apples-to-apples" between the major providers, providing affordable solutions. I serve to help myclients protect themselves and their families against medical bills and potential loss of income.
Hobbies: Cooking and spending time with my husband and three children. I was born in Chicago Illinois, spent 17 years in Texas, and have now lived in California for the past 11 years. I am so happy to have been with Abrams California Health Insurance all these years, and my pride in this business will be evident in my service to you!
Susan Nunez, Administrative Support
History: Joined the Abrams California Health Insurance/InsureSaver team in May of 2008 as an Office Administrator, and have since been assisting our clients with billing, claims, and underwriting questions.
Education & Experience: Graduated Torrance High School in 1989. Attended two years at Irvine Valley College, majoring in both Spanish and Communications.
Goals: To give each and every customer fantastic service!
Hobbies: Traveling, the beach and most of all spending time with my two daughters.
